Restore US/PAL Gameplay Speed (Japanese Director's Cut)
In Japanese versions of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro's movements were noticeably slowed down, to the point his charging speed is about as fast as his walking speed from the US/PAL versions of the game. This was somewhat remedied in the Director's Cut version of the title that released later. After attaining 120% completion on this version of the game, hold L1 and R1 at the file screen to be able to restore the US/PAL versions' speed.

Secret Level and 120% Ending
Complete the game's storyline, then obtain 100% by rescuing all 80 dragons, all 12 eggs, and obtaining 12,000 treasure. From the Gnorc homeworld, this unlocks a special level in the green dragon head. Obtain all 2,000 treasure there (thus yielding 120% completion) and leave to have an additional ending cutscene.
