Torneko No Daibouken Fushigi No Dungeon (Part 4)

===============================================================================
 Enemy Moves [*h1]
===============================================================================

Bomb Preparation
Used by: Bomb Crag
Effect: When the enemy is almost dead, it stands still.
Comment: When a Bomb Crag uses this move, it's ready to explode.

Confuse
Used by: Giant Eyeball
Effect: Confuses you for five turns.
Comment: Basic confuse effect.

Dance
Used by: Mud Puppet
Effect: Causes you to lose a level.
Comment: This move will bring you back a level with one experience point away
from the level you were previously. If you're level 2 with 29
experience (1 experience point away from 3), and you get hit by this,
you'll go back to level 1 with 9 experience. This is very brutal on
later levels where you need a ton of experience to level up.

Double Melee Attack
Used by: Silver Devil
Effect: Attack twice in one turn.
Comment: Silver Devils are strong, so getting twice is not fun.

Double Movement
Used by: Silver Devil
Effect: Move twice in one turn.
Comment: Double movement means double the trouble.

Explosion
Used by: Bomb Crag
Effect: When the enemy is killed, it will cause a 5x5 explosion.
Comment: BOOM! Anything caught in this explosion will be hurt badly. All items
in the blast radius will be destroyed. If another Bomb Crag gets
hit, it will only explode if it used Bomb Preparation.

False Statue
Used by: Stone Hulk
Effect: Seems like a harmless statue, until you are in melee range.
Comment: When you are able to encounter these, you'll constantly see fake
statues. Stay away from them if you don't want to risk it.

Fear
Used by: Metal Babble
Effect: Runs away from you.
Comment: This is constantly used by Metal Babbles.

Fire Breath
Used by: Green Dragon
Effect: A breath of fire that can be shot at from five blocks away.
Comment: The strongest attack in the game. Get hit by this and you can
see death around the corner. Most of the time you won't even know
there's a Green Dragon around until you get hit by this.

Group
Used by: Ice Sloth
Effect: A group of four enemies will never move away from each other.
Comment: They'll always stick together, making items like Bang Scroll
 useful.

Invisibility
Used by: Shadow
Effect: Cannot be detected without certain items.
Comment: You can still hurt it while it's invisible. Eyedrops and Eavesdrop
Scrolls will get rid of this ability.

Leg Grab
Used by: Goopie
Effect: Stops you from moving until the enemy is killed.
Comment: Annoying. VERY bad when you have strong enemies closing in on you.
You'll have to kill the Goopie that grabbed you or use an item to
 warp away.

Lick
Used by: Hork
Effect: Adds a -1 modifier to your currently equipped shield.
Comment: Rust is very annoying. Using items that prevent rust or wearing items
 that don't rust is recommended.

Max HP Drain
Used by: Mystic Doll
Effect: Causes a permanent loss of five Max HP.
Comment: The worst move in the whole game. The HP lost is forever! Even when
you exit the dungeon, you'll still have the lost HP. Get hit by this
and you're going to get very angry. In case you're wondering, 1 Max
HP is the lowest you can get.

Max Strength Drain
Used by: Mystic Doll
Effect: Causes a permanent loss of one Max Strength.
Comment: Get hit by this too much and you're damage will be non-existant.

Melee Attack
Used by: Bomb Crag, Demon Toadstool, Deranger, Drakee, Ghost, Giant,
Giant Eyeball, Giant Slug, Golem, Goopie, Green Dragon, Ice Sloth,
Imposter, Lethal Armor, Liclick, Magician, Metal Babble, Mimic,
Monjar, Mud Puppet, Mummy, Mystic Doll, Shadow, Silver Devil, Slime,
 Stone Hulk, Winged Demon, Wyvern
Effect: A normal attack done when in front of you.
Comment: Basic melee attack.

Mimic
Used by: Mimic
Effect: Copies an item with the exact look.
Comment: The Mimic will look like a normal item. It's quite easy to spot
this most of the time because they commonly change into a
Safe (very rare item) and a box (the quest items you need to get).
If it's a box, make sure the floor you are on can spawn the required
box, otherwise just attack it to get a jump start on the enemy.

Move & Attack
Used by: Ghost, Silver Devil
Effect: Move and then attack on the same turn.
Comment: You'll have to plan things out carefully when you go up against
 enemies that use this.

Poison Attack
Used by: Demon Toadstool
Effect: Lowers current Strength by one.
Comment: Wearing poison immune equipment helps.

Random Movement
Used by: Drakee, Shadow
Effect: Move in random directions.
Comment: This is what makes Shadows even more annoying. They'll randomly
circle you in order to avoid getting hit by you learning where
 they are.

Ranged Attack
Used by: Lilypa
Effect: A ranged attack that drops arrows when it misses.
Comment: Sometimes you'll get hit by this without even seeing the enemy. This
is quite useful though, because arrows from Lilypas can hurt other
enemies. Also, it's free arrows for you if the shots hit a wall.

Rest
Used by: Demonite, Hork, Trick Bag
Effect: Do nothing.
Comment: The enemy wastes a turn doing nothing. When an enemy uses this, they
are actually trying to attack. They don't attack because their attack
 is set to zero.

Sleep Spell
Used by: Magician
Effect: Causes sleep for five turns.
Comment: Cast quite often by Magicians, this will leave you vulnerable.

Split
Used by: Liclick
Effect: Creates a copy of the enemy, with equivalent HP to an unhurt version.
Comment: The enemy has a chance to replicate itself.

Steal Gold
Used by: Trick Bag
Effect: Steals a random amount of gold.
Comment: After this is used, they will cast Warp.

Steal Item
Used by: Demonite
Effect: Steals a random, unequipped item.
Comment: After this is used, they will cast Warp.

Teleportation Spell
Used by: Deranger
Effect: Teleports target to a random location on the same floor.
Comment: Depending on where you get teleported, this can be good or bad. It's
good if you teleport to a safe location, but bad if you get teleported
into the middle of an unexplored room.

Transform
Used by: Imposter
Effect: Transforms into a random enemy, taking its HP, attack, and actions.
Comment: Hopefully whatever it transforms into is weak.

Warp
Used by: Demonite, Metal Babble, Trick Bag
Effect: Teleports to a random location on the same floor.
Comment: Used to run away from you in hopes of you giving up the chase.

 Status Effects [*I]

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Status effects can occur on both Taloon and enemies.

Blindness
Effect on you: The screen goes black. You have a higher chance to miss
 attacks.
Effect on enemy: Enemies walk in random directions and have a higher chance to
 miss attacks.

Confusion
Effect on you: No matter what direction you move, you will move in a random
direction. When attacking, you will attack in a random
direction, meaning you can attack in a different direction
 than you're facing.
Effect on enemy: Moves in random directions.

Fear
Effect on you: ?
Effect on enemy: Enemy runs away from you.

Sleep
Effect on you: Character becomes able to act.
Effect on enemy: Enemy becomes unable to act.

 Traps [*J]

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
There are various traps in the game, which are VERY annoying in the Mystery
Dungeon. It's generally a good idea to wear a Disarm Ring to avoid these.
Another way to find traps is to attack the tile in front of you, but this
takes a very long time to always do- it's very useful in Monster Lairs,
though. All traps have a 10% chance of not working.

Acid
Description: There is hot acid on the floor! Your shield corrodes!
Effect: Corrodes your shield.

Arrow
Description: Stepped on a switch! Look out! It's a flying arrow!
Effect: Shoots an arrow at you, doing a small amount of damage. If there are
any enemies in the way of this, they will get hit instead.

Bear
Description: Caught in a bear trap!
Effect: Holds your movement for five turns.

Earthquake
Description: An earthquake! The ground split. Taloon fell through a crack!
Effect: This isn't a trap you step on, but a trap that occurs over time. When
you spend too many turns on a level, the whole level's floor will
crumble and you'll be brought down to the next floor. If an
earthquake occurs on floor ten of the Trial Dungeon, or floor 99 of
the Mystery Dungeon, you will fall back to the same floor. The floor
 will be randomly generated again.

Gas
Description: Argh! Sleeping gas!
Effect: Puts you to sleep for several turns.

Mine
Description: Stepped on a mine!
Effect: Makes an explosion, damaging you severely. This explosion is equivalent
to the explosion of a Bomb Crag, meaning it'll hurt nearby enemies
 too.

Pitfall
Description: Damn! A pitfall!
Effect: Drops you to the floor below, doing a small amount of damage.

Poison Arrow
Description: Stepped on a switch! Look out! It's a poison arrow!
Effect: Shoots an arrow at you, doing a small amount of damage. This sometimes
brings your Strength down by one. If there are any enemies in
the way of this, they will get hit instead.

Rock
Description: Clumsy oaf! You stumbled!
Effect: Drops some items from your inventory onto the ground.

Warp Pad
Description: Entered a warp zone!
Effect: Teleports you to a random location on the same floor.

 Level Chart [*K]

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
To gain a level, you must gain a certain amount of experience points. When
you gain a level, your HP will increase 4 - 6 points randomly. The highest
possible HP you can have without using Herbs or Elixirs is 231.

Monsters can also gain levels. They gain a level after they acquire a certain
amount of experience points. The amounts are the same as they are for Taloon.
When a monster gains a level, their HP will increase 3 - 7 points randomly.

When you kill an enemy that has some experience points, you will gain all of
the experience points they gained in addition to the amount the monster
usually gives.

HP amounts are listed in case you are wondering how much HP you should have
at your level if you want to get the max (or minimum) possible.
